429 fox ignition system choice
im unsure about what ignition system to get. i was looking at the D.U.I. i like how its all in one unit. is this a reliable setup. i plan on running the car on the local 1/8th mile and drive to work a few times a week. is it possible to add a controller box to the dui. i was thinking a nitrous box to control ignition. also with a rev limiter.

The DUI and several other H.E.I. based units work well and are reliable but, it looks like what it is ... a GM ignition.
If you wish to stay away from needing a separate box then I would use a Pertronix "Igniter III" in a Ford distributor. It uses an external coil only, and looks the part.
If you're going to put a box on it anyway, I'd use a MSD 6AL-2 digital.
