Cam choice for stroker
Is there a formula for choosing a camshaft for a stroker engine versus a regular 460. I'm getting ready to order one or get a custom ground for my 502.
It's a 10.1, Edelbrock headed motor that I'd like to get 500hp from.
Would something like a Lunati 61604 get me there?

I read a few years ago to go up around 10* duration for every 50 cubic inch increase, for a rough idea.

Hell I think with your combo a RV cam will get you more than 500 HP, are you looking for a good sounding cam or something with a semi smooth idle??

Application, application, application ... every one wants something different.

4.15 Scat rotating assembly
JE Srp -28cc dish Pistons 10.1 cr
0 decked and balanced
Edelbrock 75cc heads untouched
Weiand stealth
850 cfm vs mighty demon
2" crites headers
3 inch exhaust
2400 stall C6
3.70 Locker
3700-3800 lbs car
I put around 500 miles a year on it with a couple drag races thrown in there.
I'd like 500-520 hp without changing valve springs once a year, if that's possible.
For sure I want it to have a somewhat choppy idle, I don't think there's anyway around that anyhow.
If I forgot anything let me know.
