Does anyone make a spacer for main bearing saddles to reduce size on cast iron block down to 2.750(cleveland size)? How much compression could someone get by with on an event like dragweek on 93 octane pumpgas just on the driving parts(from track to track)? What would be the best rod length on a bigger cube motor(600ci-625ci)? how much power would be possible with the right heads/tfs tunnel ram/11.0-1 compression/solid roller cam?

Thanks for any help.

I've never seen spacers for that avaliable commercialy. You'd probably have to make them. But honestly for any street or typical sportsman type application thier is realy nothing to gain by going to the smaller cleveland journals.

as far as compression that wide open, what combo? how heavy? how much gear? What Trans? What Type of induction? How much cam?

I would think a 6.700 or 6.800 rod would be doable depending on the piston and pin placement, I. E. compression height . Possible horsepower is a loaded question without knowing limiting factors other than compression. I do feel high 9s to 1050 is attainable with duals and some thought even though the compression isn't going to help

What I plan on doing with my car is really pushing limits of street use(dragweek).Car weighed 3000lbs with SVO cast iron blocked windsor based inline valve headed small block with F3R procharger, intercooler, water tank and all tubing and me in the car.I am going to try 3.50 gears because I already have a 2000.00 center section set up and in car.I will be running a powerglide trans.specs on cam should be in the upper .700 to lower .800 lift range.I plan on running 2-dominators on a TFS ram. What my plan is on combo is as follows 4.625 bore,4.500 or 4.600 stroke-6.800 rod 11-1 compression and Crossed fingers at Dragweek.

I would do the heads and flow them before I get to committed to cam specs. Should be a fun ride.

Little different combo but I ran 11.02:1 compression on 93 octane in my 523 with no issues. Get the quench as tight as you can and it will help you alot also deburr any sharp edges that will be in cumbustion chambers. The powerglide and the 3.50 gears are gonna probably be your biggest hurdles to make it run on pump-gas.

x2 as he said no real gain for what your doing,I DONT have any of those spacers anymore, but i do still have a crank from one of the pro stock engines 3.910 stroke that i took out.If you did do this it would be an rpm engine, and best to use a short rod/deck, large bore, then saving weight, and having room for intake runners to be longer taller under the hood.
