Finally finished the shop inside......
We started with this:
Same corner now:
The place is a disaster now and needs to be cleaned up and organized:
Now the heat stays inside where it belongs.

What did you use on walls and ceiling? My new building is going up in April and trying to decide how to finish inside. Yours looks great

Yep, you definately need to clean that thing out, and if you want I will come help take out the trash, starting with that fastback. I'll throw that right on my trailer and get rid of it for you free of charge.

The only bad thing about a new garage is that they are never big enough. Looks like it is filling up with good stuff. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ceiling is Master Rib available from Lowes. It is the same stuff as on the outside of the building. The walls are drywall with a lot of mud in 'em. I hate joint compound. If you use a big wet sponge instead of sandpaper, it makes NO dust.

How's the sound in there with the metal ceiling? Any bad echos?

It is quieter now with drywall and a ceiling than when it was an empty shell. Throw in a couple cars and there are no bad sounds at all.

4 x 8 styrofoam sheets. Cut 'em and fit between the horizontal 2 x 4s. It also lets the outside of the building breathe from top to bottom. It has to breathe or it'll rot. We don't want that.

Thanks Damon. It is much better now. Most people don't realize the amount of work involved in this.
Seriously, I watched Ellen paint for HOURS !!!!!!
But I had to do the joint compound...........

You can come do mine. I am not looking forward to it that's for sure. Will be leaving the second floor alone for a few years I think. Wait till my some gets older. Lol
