How do you check valve to valve clearance????
Everybody knows to check valve to piston clearance but what about valve to valve clearance. Do you just trust the cam grinder!!!!!

Put them on a block with out the pistons with the cam and crank in it an degree the cam (with one piston and rod) and look through the bore from under the bottom during overlap.

That is the only thing that I could come up with. It seemed like a tough way of doing it. I found a jig for Harleys. A old time builder had a jig for 392 Hemi heads.

The only real way to check it is put a head on an empty block with THE cam installed and the lifters pushrods, rockers and valves with light springs for one cylinder ... set 'em as they would be run ... and visually look up the empty bore at the valves, rotate the cam till they are at their closest point then use a feeler gauge.
There is NO easy way to be SURE.
