I have purchased one. new truck and trailer combo going to weigh about 27000 lbs. You think there will be a problem. I have the edge stuff and exhaust but it smokes alot and I can't pull with it turned up.

this was back in 2002 when i had the truck , (damn biggest mistake ever to have gotten rid of that truck)
i would say now there are alot of options for that truck , i know of alot of guys that hotshot there deals , loaded and have the wick turned up with no issues. Im sure Jon is going to chime in here but have the egt guage to monitor any issues before they arise.

Better stuff is out there. What's it got for exhaust, intake, injectors, etc...?

My dad had the Bamks deal on his 7.3 and it was ok. Kinda pricey. As popular as diesels are now there are definitely more price conscious options out there now, but it does do a pretty good job, and really helped with economy.

For towing, It would be hard to beat the Baby Swamps and their 6 position tuner.
I just hauled a load of scrap to the recyclers about two months ago I was grossing 26680 and I never got out of overdrive all the way 20 mile trip fairly big hills too, between Shelbyville and Tullahoma Tn.
EGTS stayed in check too.
5 speed w 4.10 gears 33 inch tires.
I also pulled Boo Boos trailer to Don Bowles shop 32 footer heavy as crap. Never even breathed hard.
I also have a very good low restriction air filter and a 3 inch down pipe with 4 inch exhaust.

My truck is a 2002. just wanting to know was everybody happy that had them. not really a price question. I want to be able to have power and pull big trailer without turning it down. hopefully.

Re: banks power pack system
ok I looked at the Banks site, for that kind of money you could have done a lot better and a lot more lol. The intercooler deal and pipping looks good, exhaust system good, the Big Head actuator and turbo housing good, I'd toss the transcommand and the air filter on ebay or the trashcan................
I'm not sure of what tunes are on the chip, I dont see any fuel system mods.....not good. You need tranny stuff done...........gimme a call I type too slow and there is a lot to address...........
