I have searched, but I am not sure of what words will "flag" what I am looking for...

Basically, I have a 460 out of a 91 F350, it had the C6 behind the engine, and I am replacing it with the NP435, so I should be okay without worrying about computer controlled automatics getting mad at the manual transmission I plan to run. I intend to run with as close to factory fuel injection as I can. I think the 460 as it sits is speed-density, but would be glad to be corrected if someone can enlighten me.

I have found fuel rails (cprparts.com/products/airfuel/spyder.html) which will change me over to 1/4-NPT versus the strange (to me) connectors which came from the factory, and allow me to run my own fuel line (probably -6, but my coworker knows more about that then me, so he will be telling me what to run), so I feel pretty good about the fuel system.

The engine electronics are where I am concerned.
I understand that the (fox body) mustangs have a "separate" engine wiring harness, where the 460 out of my truck has the engine wiring harness integrated with the chassis wiring harness. I have the capacity to "cut out" the parts I don't need, but if I could use a foxbody harness and somehow make it work with a computer (either the F350's or one from a 5.0 with a chip) I would be a happy camper... has anyone successfully done this yet? I am new to this caliber of engine swap, and want to try and keep it as painless as possible (considering I am putting a 460 into a 2000 jeep wrangler with a transmission which hadn't been behind this particular engine, painless is said tongue in cheek)

Thanks for any answers, and sorry for being one of the guys on here who knows what he wants to do, but not having the vocabulary to get the search button to find anything relevant...

The 5.0's used a mass air sensor and can be easily remapped, the 460's used speed density. The change can be done but you will need the complete wiring harness and computer from the 5.0 and be prepared to make mod's to the wiring and to reprogram the computer from the 5.0. You will also want to get a computer from a manual tranny.

I just did a quick internet search and found some useful info for you.

I thought about putting a 460 in a jeep or pre 78 bronco but thought it would make it really nose heavy.
