Sell or part out 1975 F-100 4x4?
Need suggestions on what to do with my old truck. It's an old money pit I played with until I bought my Superduty 4x4. It's a 1975 F-100 4x4 SWB, 390 FE, auto, NP203.
Specs:
bed is rough, cab is fair, hood is good. I converted it to a 1979 frontend with all new parts. Grille, fenders, headlights, etc.
390 engine built around 1997 by myself. 4V Holley, small cam, Hooker Supercomp headers, 3" single exhaust, 3 chamber flowmaster.
C6 auto, shift kit installed
Late model saginaw PS pump and steering box. Steers great!
Dana 44 froent end with 4.10 gears, Auburn pro series diff, new axles
Dana 60 rear, factory powerloc LS, rebuilt, 3/4 ton.
NP203 with part-time kit
33 x 12.50 tires, 15" white buggy-type wheels
Ran fine when I parked it. Haven't ran it in years.
Thanks,
David Willingham

You would probably do better to sell it whole for somebody to make into a wood/trash hauler than you would get parting it out. The Jeep guys used to pay some decent money for those axles, but that deal is over and axles aren't bringing much any more. I'd bet you could get close to $1000 as it sits complete, and I doubt you'd get half that parting it out and waiting for several years before it was all gone.

I want $1000 for it and you are 854 miles from me. I believe I met you at the tech seminar several years ago. It is a very capable 4x4, but not a pretty one. I replaced one floorboard due to rust and the bed is pretty rusty also. I'll take some more pics when I get it cleaned out.

Dave,
I used to use it to tow my dragtruck to the track back in 97-98', but that was only 15 miles. It is lifted 4-6" and the body is rough, so I really wouldn't recommend it for towing unless you are willing to spend some money on it. I would consider it more of a farm/hunting/trail/mud truck. It's just a 1/2 ton truck. I put the 3/4 ton rear under it because someone gave it to me and the 9" was shot.
