first bbf build Empty first bbf build

i am starting a 521 build,i am thinking of useing the scat 4.3 stroke 4340 crank,and 6.8" rods with the arp 2000 bolts and maybe some diamond pistons with the p-51 heads.any advise and suggestions would be appreciated.

same rotating assy and heads here, runs pretty good I rekon..............

Had one built about 2 years ago run 560's N/A all day long.Out box heads and intake no port work. Wink The car matter must state it was backhalf car.

we are talking about putting it in a 65 mustang stock suspension.what did your car weigh?sure is a long lead time on the heads,are they sticking to their 6 to 8 week estimate?

Better do some measuring as a BBF not going to fit in a 65 Mustang without some cutting.

yea,we are going to use a rack and pinion and cross member setup.going to cut the shock towers
out and notch the firewall a bit.

Id get with Lem Evans here on the forum and get a "Mafia" intake, a Charlie's oil pan, and a Camshaft from him.............He's also a Diamond dealer............ Wink

well we decided to go with a 67 mustang,found one for 1500.the car is in pretty good shape.so that put him a little behind on cash for the heads,but we will be getting the p-51 heads.soon i hope i am ready to get back on the build.
