Aluminum Radiator
Can anyone offer a recommendation on a drop in quality aluminum radiator for a '77 F150? The old stock rad is near the end of its life and clearance is tight so a drop in would work best but hoping someone can point at a brand they had success with. Thanks.

I put one of those in my pulling truck about 3 years ago, it has worked good and cools better than the old one did.

We don't the O'Reily chain up this way, I'll look into Joe Mayab. Thank-you.

I am sure that radiator is a great one but I would run down to your local parts store and see what they can get as a stock replacement, I believe most of them have went to the aluminum cores with plastic tanks.

Re: Aluminum Radiator
Thank-you for all your help, I'm going to pick-up the #20610 Auto Trans rad from Bronco Graveyard. I have a large auxiliary tranny cooler but was going to use the cooler in the radiator to help. Do you think this is overkill or unnecessary?

Re: Aluminum Radiator
I believe a cooler in front of the radiator is more than sufficient and plumbing through the radiator's cooler just creates a restriction. (Looks messy too.) The Bronco Graveyard aluminum radiators are very durable and fully soldered (no epoxy). They're made by Heatex and they're high quality.77f150 wrote:I have a large auxiliary tranny cooler but was going to use the cooler in the radiator to help.
