Re: pro series rockers
i was browsing around on ebay and found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/330668712289?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 they look alot like the crower rockers seen here http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRO-73615-16/?rtype=10 the price has got me interested in them for a mild stock 429 and was thinking about trying them but i am not sure if i want to be a test pilot for them i dont turn more than 5500 rpms though and again the price has got me thinking it says in the add that they are made by a co. that they cant say the name of and are lifetime warrentied

I have a rule on chinese auto parts, if it moves its junk, stay away from it...... if it doesn't move proceed with extreme caution..... and only use it if there is no chance it can destroy your investment.
Those shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Crower...... No where even close.
If your looking for proven inexpensive street stuff, try Scorpion (Made in USA) of the Comp Cams High Energy or Cast Aluminum stuff (Same as the old Crane rockers) I'm pretty sure both of those are made in USA too.
Harland Sharp stuff works great too. (Made in USA)

Re: pro series rockers
The ones on E-bay are 1.7, I believe those are Chevy's, it also says they "FIT" Ford, does not say they are made for Fords.
The ones at Summit are 1.73, and say they are for Fords.
If you want the full lift of your cam, check your cam card and see what ratio it says to use before you buy some.
Also would not hurt to do the math on the cam cards. (Lobe lift x rocker ratio = valve lift) I had an ISKY cam in my first engine, the cam card said 1.7 ratio, so thats what I put on. After assembly, I did not have the lift at the valve that it said I should, short around .060. After doing some figuring, we figured out that the lift and ratio I had was all I was going to get at the valve. Called ISKY tech and he said that I needed the 1.73 to get that lift. Told him their cam card said 1.7, he said I was reading it wrong. Faxed him a copy of the cam card and then he said sorry, it looks like we mis-printed it.

I'd find a good set of used cranes, ford motorsport, harland sharps, scorpions or similar before I'd waste $$$ on those.
