Re: My track video's
My 2 cents on the gear change is to use a 4.00 and if the car traps at the same speed it'll be running at 6500 rpm but you know its gonna pick up some mph. Using a 4.10 gear is going to give it 200 more RPM.
The last run my trans smoked big time when I trapped at only 125 mph hitting the 7000 chip. If it was healthly I would go thru at 6500 and 140 mph. Tires are 32 tall with a 3.82 gear.
Anyone got an extra C6 for sale that can handle some power?
Dave

Re: My track video's
I think my combo is a lot like yours. I was running a 3.70 gear, it was pretty lazy out of the hole. I switcheed to a 4.10 gear and the car responded very well, It just felt better from the hit all the way to the stripe. My car 60 footed constistent 1.44 with the 3.70 gear, and 1.36 with the 4.10 gear.
Hope this helps, Derek

Mike,
It looks like you got some great gear recommendations here. Maybe Derek can post more about his set-up to compare. From what was said here a 4.30 might be better than the 4.10. Run the calculator now that you have a base line with converter slip for different gears at 142 mph and see what your trap RPM is. If Derek has data from his change you can plug that into your projections as well.
I think 140-142 mph is the goal for your car.

I already had a 4.10 so thats what is going to go in it here.....very soon.
Derek if you don't mind can you tell me some more on your combo such as car, engine and trans type, car weight, tire size? PM me if you don't want it public.
Thanks
