eagle
Note on the part #, the bolts sent to me for the Eagle rod made with the 990 pin for the Ford Racing 514/521 crate engine was EAG20030 with a 1.80 under the head. I hope to god they have sent me the correct bolts, I will find out Monday at the machine shop !

Never heard from him for the rest of the day. Got home, still no package or notice on my door. This is my second set of Eagle rods, do they think after this I will buy another?? There needs to be another path to getting replacement bolts, ARP won't sell you them or even give you a part # to search for them, they send you to Eagle, and Eagle does not seem interested in people trying to freshen or upgrade their bolts. If they were available from Summit or Jegs I could have had them in 2-3 days tops. This is just a poor situation period.
I had a runnin with Eagle also, needed new rod bushings ,the machine shop made the 1st order attempt, got the wrong size, then I sent them back, re-ordered, got the same wrong parts,,,, sent them back requesting my money back, took 3 weaks to get my card credited, some bullshit story about management changes,,, I went to Scat

More rod bolt info
Update, Eagle produces various rods for the 385 series Ford, and I think there might be some rod bolt length differences, the experts on here can maybe provide some additional info, Eagle shipped me the series 2000 bolts in 7/16 and 1.80 under the head. When checked against my rods and the old bolts this was correct, they were the exact same length as the 8740 material bolts I was replacing. My rods are the 990 pin ones made by Eagle for Ford Racing. More than one poster on here said the 7/16 bolts should have been a 1.60 under the head, a few said they have ordered that length directly from ARP, rather than going through Eagle. I just want to pass that info on, check your length first, then by all means if you can order directly from ARP, or through Summit, you will probably wind up getting your parts much faster. I'm just curious if the std 6.605 rod with the 1040 pin uses a shorter bolt, or if the rod has changed over the years, I'm not sure as I got my rods used, and I believe they are from one of the earlier 514 crate motors after Ford switched from factory rods to Eagle H-beams. I'm just glad I can now move on & get this motor together.....

Me too, I would have been a very unhappy camper if I had to go another round in the bolt chase.
