Congrats to Nick Burger on winning
the two wheel drive class at the Muhlenberg County Fair Truck and Tractor Pull last night. As usual the Fords were outnumbered and the announcer was running his mouth about how bad all the Chevies were,,,,,,until Nick shut his ass up with a full pull with his 472 CID iron EX 514 headed Ford. There were 11 trucks in the class, 9 Chevies and 2 Fords. It was a floating finish line deal, so Nick pulled it out the back door with a 345 ft. pull and took first place. The other Ford was Jason Toomer's father-in-law and he finished in second. The announcer was still living in denial and said there must be Chevy engines under the hood of those two Fords.
Many of you all may remember Nick from the BB Ford Winter Tech Seminar at Donald Bowles's this year. Nick and Jason were the ones responsible for getting the new FRPP Pro Stock block, (the 9 cam bearing deal), and the FRPP Pro Stock heads there and had them on display.
Of course Nick's engine was "up there" in terms of rpm. Last year that engine hovered around 9500 rpm. This year due to a change in his final drive ratio, the engine is hovering around 8900 rpm. Last night because of the floating finish line, he was at 8900 rpm for 6.5 seconds according to the play-back tach.
Way to go Nick

Good job! Nick has a great running truck, and he is not afraid to take it upstairs. lol.
I had the occasion a couple times to shut the announcer up, and it is always a good feeling.

I would paint Blue Oval Powered on your cowl hood then maybe the announcer wouldn't think it has a Chevy engine.
Later Mark.

Good to hear on well they did. Congrads !!!
Someone should have a little face time with the announcer and give him an education.
Charlie, that would a good job for you hahahaha, or send the Shrewbury after them.

Good job for the BBF's finishing #1 & #2! I love it when the announcers are ignorant like that.
