Almost got a win today....-.003 red in final
I took the old '58 Custom 300 to Silver Dollar Raceway for a local 10.90 Super Street series race today. The 514 Blue Thunder "B" engine is in the car, so my MPH advantage is gone (compared to the 605) but we had a decent day anyway.
All went well until I rolled in a smidge deep and drew a .003 red light in the final.
8 clean passes and loaded up with no damage and won my fuel money back.
All ready to yank the throttle stop off and set it up for 10.0 Index at the Lucas Oil race next week.

Thanks guys...
I will plan to make the Hot Rod Reunion part of the 40 years of Insanity Tour in 2013. I saw some photos of a nice lightweight black and white 1958 Ford that was there. I better back this guy up. It is tough being the only 1958 Ford at the place.
The 40 Years of Insanity Tour will mark the anniversary of the relationship between me and the old red Ford. I purchased it and stuck my 427 in there in about July or August 1973. The car is now the research and development vehicle for KFM and Engine Systems.
