falcon idea on suspenction
how wide is the frame rail in the engine bay on a 1962 falcon? i just thinking out load here , tossing idea around for the future, and what about this , in this picture the shock tower is cut out and the roll bar tube is sticking into the engine bay , could it be possible to do this and weld a pice of metal to that bar and push the shock outwards or weld a piece of metal and come off the frame its self and use a short shock

You might want to think about doing a MustangII front end..
I'm about to do the same thing to Dad's '64 Ranchero..I think..

I like the Fox/SN strut swaps. Tons of aftermarket parts support, good amount of suspension travel to work with vs the MII stuff.
Only real problem with the Fox/SN stuff on an older car is the brake size & the amount of rotor stand-out (track width) pretty much dictates the use of newer style/size rims. Kinda hard to use something like a set of ancient/classic 14x6 aluminum slots on the front for the "retro look" with the Fox/SN stuff without having to use a spacer & also fudge the track width geometry/layout a little.
