2013 Cobra jet on the way to BF EVANS FORD

Dang, I was at the dealership for over an hour yesterday, which it had rolled in then. It looks like i'll have to make another trip back over to check it out.

I've been around for a few years, and have seen all the factory Super Stockers from the sixties. Everything from the alum. front 63 Chevys, to the Holman, Moody, Stroppe built '65 & '66 cammer Mustang A/FX cars. When I used to race for Pearson Racing Enterprises, we had a factory '68 Hemi Barracuda SS/A car built by Hurst.

I honestly believed that we would never, ever see anymore factory built racecars like we had in the sixties. I thought the era more or less ended with the 1969 Hurst built AMC SS/C cars.

This Mustang blows me away, 12 point cage, window net and the whole 9 yards. So, I've put in a call to Mark McDonald and he's going to get Uncle Dave McDonald, (who had a factory '64 Galaxie lightweight car), and we're going bring him over and let him see this new Ford RACECAR

I'm not a collector so it will eventually be sold. These are race cars and do not have a normal V.I.N. or mfrs. statement of origin so they can not be titled in any state.
They do have a part number....M-FR500-CJ and a car #....in this case #025 [of 50 built].



I think it would be fair to say that the FR500-CJ Mustangs are sold as a FRPP race part rather than a Ford Motor Company vehicle.

Can't see in the pics if it has the Supercharged 5.0 Coyote, but I would think a SCJ would have it.

If it does have the S/C, than I think it would be a AAA/SA class car and the index is 9.70.

Mullet Mania was in full swing today at the 2013 CJ dragcar intro. Hobbs the local injected methanol maven and multi NHRA Wally winner signed autographs and provided free methanol samples for the school children as their mothers admired his mullet from a far.

A special added attraction was Phillip Oakley, also a multi Wally winner.

Thanks for all the publicity Lem. I know we'll have that CJ car in the winners circle too!! No kids were harmed and no mothers left unsatisfied ...so life is good
