timing curve advice for my msd
i'm working on a 302 that is stroked and is 9.5 to 1 compression. .550 hyd cam. iron eagle heads ported.
runs on pump 93.
i am going to set the base timing at 10 and full advance at 34 ish.
My question is how fast can i advance the curve (springs) and be safe???
this car is a street driven toy.
thanks

Re: timing curve advice for my msd
Depends on the weight of the car, the rear end, the transmission type, the compression, the quench, the fuel.
There are engines where you can lock the timming at whatever you want the WOT timming at, there are engines that can have it all in at 2000 RPM, there are engines that cant have peak timing till almost at the end of the power band.
The heavier the car, the slower the engine builds RPM the slower the ramp rate will have to be to prevent excess cylinder pressure and or detonation.

Your ability to keep detonation away from your front door relative to your specific application.
