Returning to racing soon !

Finally after 2yrs off the Maverick has made it back into the garage to be worked on . Now I can concentrate on getting the new bullit built and make some necassary changes that have been needed . Thanks to this site and the many who post here for the advice given to others that have also helped me keep my mind on my project , and given ideas to help better a project . I haven't raced in 2yrs , due to an engine injury thats taken a bit of time to overcome . Plus after reading about several P51 headed combos here Jon ,Blake ,Paul , I just had to have me some of that power for mine . Hope to be racing soon and hope that I might be able to join in at the next race you guys do depending on where its at . When I get it all togther I'll strap it to the chassis dyno a work and see what it comes up with .

I'm working on the pic part .

Work progressed this weekend . then came to a sudden halt , timing gear improperly machined , box it up send back to manufacture . this will be another delay along with a couple other issues . Does not look like I will make our final Night of Fire race at home track . Don't know whats going to become of track either. This sucks .

Is there talk of Speedworld going away? We've talked before at the track when I lived there. We run the black 83 mustang with a now A headed 598. Hell last time I raced down there and we chatted, your son had just had his first baby!!

An A headed 598 ? thats got to be a monster ! Yes there is talk of OSW going away . My son has moved , married and now has a another son .

some progress has been made . A little at a time is how it goes . Got timing gear issue resolved . Clearanced pump today , got to finish clearancing pickup screen no big deal . Degreed cam , ck'd and measured for push rod length , ordered parts , ck'd pv clearance good to go there . Depending how the week goes " Bad Betty " may just finally get completely assembled .

Well it's been some time since I last posted . Lot of progress has been made . Just got car back from chassis shop , had some upgrades done . Have Pics of everything and I know how yall like to see however I am challenged in that . If someone is willing to help me post them I would gladly accept the help . Oh and our track has been purchased and is operational again . Now back to work would like to fire up the new engine here in the next two weeks .
