It seemed to work well in my 501..9.60's-9.70's @138mph in a 2800lb Fox Body Mustang 11:5:1 CR on C12 with 36 deg of timing..Just want to get the car to run the same again. I realize I jumped the gun and purchased the same cam I had before doing my research..Rookie mistake. If I knew a higher CR 466 would push the car to the same ET's I'd be all for it.. would leave a lil money in my pocket book..lol. Thanks for all your opinions.. You're helping this rookie
I very well could sell this cam and get one better suited for a 521 or larger build.. Just don't want to start having to change other things in the car.. tranny and rear end gears etc... I'm quite happy running 9.60-9.70's.. just want it to be consistent in the bracket racing world

Re: 501/521
Do a FT 545..... Get a proper cam from Lem or other vendor of your choice. Like has already been said that cam is even small for a 466 in a set-up race car.
4.5 stroke, 4.390 bore with a 6.800 rod.
The 4.30 gear will be fine with a tall tire. Only other thing you might have to do is restall the convertor.

Thanks Again Dfree for your input.. I'm currently using a M/T 3065 29.5'' x 13.5'' x 15'' Slick with a Transmission Specialities 9" Spragless Convertor with a approx 5300 Stall (Powerglide Tranny)
