Re: Heading to the track tomorrow finaly
Well $%&#%#&^^% didn't go truck having some oil pressure problems 1st back it out the trailer and had to fight spiders off got all them joker from under the hood and under the truck before I could even get ready to change the oil.Fired the truck get it up to temp to get the moister out of the crank case as temp got to 160 the oil pressure guage to jump round alittle so I let it get up to temp 190 oil pressure droped to 20 from 70.Shut it down drain the oil ,the oil looked great clean no metal in it any where filter even looked good so I refill with oil put a new filter on.I let it get back up to about 160 and the guage started jumping around then the niddle started jumping from 70 to 50 real quick like it was sucking air. Then when it got up to 190 it was at 45 and holding no jump back and forth rev the truck up alittle guage never moved just sits at 45 psi. Then I shut it down and fired it back up 20psi Idling rev it jump to 60 and then started jump all around again so I shut it down. The engine will come out and apart to see what is going on inside before I damage my top end with a rod or something coming apart.I think it is in the bottom end I had a oil line come off the last time at the track but it still had some oil pressure about 15 psi when I shut it off fix the oil line and put 4qt of oil back in ,it holds 7qt and oil pressure was back to norm but it still may have scared the bearing or the oil pick has broke and sucking air I am gussing oh ya I did try a different guage with the same results. So I want be do a head swap result to se how much they help as the engine is coming out it want be going back in the same.Oh ya spiders little #$$%##& are gone they tried to take my trailer over I just set a bomb off in it the going to bomb it again tomorrow

Dang Jim,
Sorry to hear about that on your truck. I got the Engine out of mine now . Air cleaner rod broke & fell down into Intake & Cracked block on #1 cylinder and scarred #4 cylinder. Got new block @ Machine shop Ordered a 512 CID Stroker Rotating assembly & Hyd. Roller Cam Setup for it. Hopefully will have it back together and running in a few weeks. Keep me posted on progress and if I can help you in any way Just let me know.

I gas them good when I put the truck back in the trailer I shut the doors and left the truck running it ran about a gallon of alky out with the door shut.I put my paint mask on when it ran out went in with my flash light and turn the shutoff switch off aand looked around. I seen just a few coming out the craks around the wheel boxes where the trim meets them couldn't stay long eyes was watering like crazy but did manage to spray them good. I will retreat it tomorrow.
