Driveshaft questions
I have a questions for anyone who has done the 460/C6 swap into a Foxbody with the 8.8 rear end. I am on a tight budget but want to do this right also. My question is what is the best route for the driveshaft?
Here was my original plan: Get a used Nascar driveshaft like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DYNOTECH-DRIVE-SHAFT-47-55-X-4-X-065-WITH-BILLET-SLIP-YOKE-NASCAR-ARCA-SCCA-/120868888975?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c2458e18f&vxp=mtr
then have it cut to length and balanced. From what I have read most are using a 1350 on both ends. If I used that driveshaft I would need a different slip yoke. If there a 1350 series slip yoke that will fit the C6 that I can find in a junk yard or do I need to order an aftermarket piece? Also what do I need to do on the differential end of things? Also same thing, can I find a part in the junk yard?
Or would it be the same cost to have a custom one made?
Thank you for all of your expertise.

Re: Driveshaft questions
we have a truck shop here local that will build a new 3.5 diameter shaft any length w the 1350 joints and yokes for 200 bucks................not sure i'd put a junkyard deal in it but for a low power deal it might be fine.

Re: Driveshaft questions
I have shortened several stock shafts and used a truck slip yoke with an adapter u-joint with zero issues.
Man John you get some deals a new shaft without a slip yoke goes $400+ up here.

Re: Driveshaft questions
If you ever get to the Lafayette area there's a shop.
It's Rowe Trucking.
1-888-447-5566 ask for Jim in the driveline shop.
He does alot of racing and truck pulling driveshafts and can build whatever you need.
