I've been doing a lot of research and google seems to bring me here Everytime so I decided to join you fellas! Seem like a bunch of laid back gear heads like myself. So ill start by saying that I'm new to the BBF world, as I grew up watching/helping my dad restores 69 camaros and Novas and bel airs and so on. I've owned a dozen 5.0 5-speed mustangs as I have a 95 and a 94 right now clean daily drivers, but I've never had a BBF. Last month as I was doing my usual late night craigslisting I ran across a 1989 mustang with a 460/c6 combo with the price of $1500. The only picture on the ad was a view under the good , none of the body or paint or anything like that, so I was figuring it was a heep of crap. We were 2 hours apart so I immediately called the guy and he told me the body was pretty solid, had a clean title, paint wasn't bad and that it ran and drove but needed small wiring bugs and etc worked out, this guy claimed to not be able to send me pictures of the body and he had no idea what the motor was internally just that it had a decent size cam. Even though I wasn't able to see the car I offered $1100 cash for this as he claimed he had bills due and it needed to go now, well he took my offer. So after a trip to Tennessee at midnight I make it to see this car and the paint is awesome compared to what I had expected, and the body is near perfect. I was in shock that it wasn't a scam, he fired it up and I instantly told him to load it on my trailer. Needless to say my $1100 has had me out cruising almost every day for the last few weeks and had it at the track over the weekend. I fell in love with a BBF. So I'm hoping with me being new to this world you guys can put up with my questions..haha. I tried to post a video of the car running and walk around but it says I have to wait 7 days, so ill be back on this thread a week from today to show you guys my ol' piece. Thanks in advance for lettin me be a part of you guys, good setup here!...Shane.

Yes I do, I've been going there since I was a kid. Was actually there this past weekend racing.

Ahaha, I'm beginning to have a lot of love for the 460, I can't deny that.

Here's the video of my $1100 beater idling

Here's a video from last night at the track, 7.93 losing high gear about 500ft out. Pulling the tranny this week.
