Timeslip pic.... tell me where I can improve.
You guys have been doing this much longer than I, so what does this slip tell you? Where can I make improvements? Mph seems high for ET to me. Car is 3500# w/ driver. mine is right side of the slip.....nevermind Bill's 71 Mustang jetcar on the left. lol

Stock suspension? If so, yes. The only aftermarket parts are UPR single adjustable lowers and QA1 k-member. Stock upper control arms, stock 83 GT springs in rear, stock stock 92 GT springs up front, stock front control arms, stock struts, and Car Quest rear shocks that were on it when I bought the car. No airbag, pretty basic setup.

thats real close to what our smallblock car runs. You need some sort of anit-roll on the rear, also what does it have for converter?

Re: Timeslip pic.... tell me where I can improve.
My thought was it has more 60 in it since it's tucking and dragging the right rear up in the fenderwell when it launches. I know that needs to be fixed and am currently deciding what route to take on that.
Converter. Originally, I was going to switch this 950hp out for a 4500 1050, but my current thought is a better converter might be a better choice for now. The one that is in it is an ACC 4000. (*ducking* Yes, that stands for Alabama Converter Company. haha) I do not think it is very efficient. It is lighting the shift light before I get to the stripe, but I do not know the exact rpm at the line. (light set at 6000) 6100 maybe? Factor in a 28" tire and the slippage numbers seem kinda high.

Re: Timeslip pic.... tell me where I can improve.
I plugged the mph into Wallace Racing's calc and it spit out 'ideal' numbers not real far from what it ran. It looks to be slow in the first 330', so maybe that's where I need to look at improving. Launching straight and level and then getting the car to settle nice.
'Ideal' numbers
60' 1.45
330' 4.18
660' 6.56 @103.56
1000' 8.63
1320' 10.40 @127.38
Trying to avoid spending a pile of money on stuff only to not realize any real benefit.

Re: Timeslip pic.... tell me where I can improve.
you have a lot left in the 60' department for your power and even weight. you can easily drop a tenth there with the above mentioned improvements. that would net a couple tenths or more on the big end.
and good gosh get some weight out of that thing. LOL

I agree with Fabio, I was doing 1.40 60's from a idle launch. Yea it was a car that was 3380 with me. 521 engine with 4200 ptc 10" converter.

Re: Timeslip pic.... tell me where I can improve.
Looks similar to what the 523 ran, it went 10.511@129.29. Mine went 108.98 in the eighth with a 6.661. I know mine needed more gear and more converter. Mine had 4.11's with a 28 inch tire and 3500 stall on footbrake. My converter slippage was 6.36%. Judging by the similar times I would say yours also pulls like a freight train past the 1/8? My 60's were consistant but crappy 1.52-1.54's.

11.5:1 pump gas 545
Holley 950HP
FRPP Victor untouched
TFS Streets untouched
Herbert HERCH6H cam
INTAKE/EXHAUST
LIFT: 685/685
DUR @.050: 260/270
LOBE CENTER: 108
Timing locked at 32 degrees
Although I'd like a little more power (who doesn't? haha) I'm not interested in running 9's at all. I don't want to jump through all the hoops to make the car and driver legal and this combo is probably not capable of it anyway. My goal is to run mid-ish 10's in Amarillo and low 10's at tracks with better air.... just enough to stay in front of my buddy with a 500" Mopar.

Anti Roll Bar, some 4.10's it should 60' a whole lot better.
Who's convertor?
Whats your fuel system like? Is it laying down?
It should be making more power than the time slips are indicating, your at only 1.1 per CID by my calcs.

Which may be ok considering it has a cast crank in it.
Converter is a generic ACC 4000 stall. The 3.55's have to stay since this is my fun street car and I like to do Drag Week too.
Fuel system is an A1000, -8 lines, set up as a return system. It does not lay over from what I can tell. This is the fastest dang thing I have ever bolted together, so 127mph is still quite a rush. haha

I'd look into a better covertor matched to your engine.

Sumped stock tank. Somewhat baffled since I only cut 4 large holes.
