I'd think it would be of some benefit in some application, it could be used to move air around if done selectively. But im with Randy.

Don't mean to crash this thread, but this would seem to be the opposite of polishing. Does polishing help or hurt the flow? Also should the runners of the intake manifold be smooth or a little rough? I've heard it both ways and I need some closure haha .

the purpose for this finish is to keep a small amount of turbulence in the runners to keep the fuel and air mixed,, does it work?????

For reducing the thickness of the boundry layer and keeping more fuel in homogenous suspension ... it works. This will help with fuel efficiency but, in itself, won't add any more power.
