Cam drives
What kind of cam drive are you guys using? I'm putting together a street strip blower motor. A belt, geardrive, or a chain?

Re: Cam drives
I would like to run a belt, but I was wondering about durability on the street. It's going to be a wet sump, and more of a true street car than a drag week car. Thanks in advance

Re: Cam drives
I'd just run a good double roller chain with billet gears. Its inexpensive and works just fine for your application.
Don't waste your time on the cheap gear drives.
Danny Bee makes an awsome belt drive, but they are not cheap.

Re: Cam drives
Thanks for the reply, I wanted to run a chain but I talked to Steve Morris and Jon Kasse, and both wanted a belt in this app. (Geardriven Procharger) Steve said he lost a chain on the dyno recently and that was it for him. I'm thinking Danny Bee. I just herd guys at drag week use them (1400 miles) so thats what I'm going to do I guess.
