If you're talking about having 3/4" snubber to strut body clearence don't forget that the soft spongy Koni snubbers that come on the Strange drag struts with continue to compress a fair amount after making contact. They aren't like the hard rubber snubbers you find on some other strut brands.

From the looks of it you have a bead roller. You're one up on me. All I have are tin snips and a 36" brake.

I like some of the cheap Chinese tools from Harbor Freight, like their 4.5" disk grinders. You can buy 3 or 4 of them cheap and have a different type disk/wheel on each so you don't have to keep changing out wheels. But their cheap tin snips are pretty much useless on even paper thin .032 Aluminum, they fold the metal over instead of cutting it. Laughing

So with the reworked new/old crash chassis will the body be sitting higher/lower off the ground, or about the same as before?

Dave the body will be a little higher at the rear but lower in front. on the old chassis i made the rockers run with the 2x3 rails, not knowing how it would end up. the chassis is lower to the ground now than the 2x3 was.it has more head room Very Happy i let the body down as low as i could but the front bar on the f/c cage is 1/8"from the top.
