Motorsport A460
Looking for some general information for a possible project.
What are the flow capabilities of the early or first A460 motorsport heads from Ford.
Did they have 2.30" Intake valves or 2.35" ? I understand out of the box they were in the 380ish flow range. What is possible and what kind of horsepower numbers could they generate in a mid 500" cube 14+ comp ratio & solid roller ? What cc were the chambers supposed to be ?
Thank for any info.

Mark,
This sounds like a question for the old gray haired guys like me. Anyway, back in the day, we had to work pretty dang hard in order to get 435- 440 cfm out of the intakes. The short side radius always needs a lot of help. Intake valves would have been either way, 2.300" and 2.350". They also featured 1.940" or 1.900" exhaust valves, and we have since learned that they don't need to be that big. 1.880" is just fine. You need to carefully measure the i.d. of your current seats, and do not let them be bigger than 91.5% of the valve head's diameter.

They did not come complete so they had whatever was installed in them. There were 2.250" and 2.400" available also.

Thanks fella's, thats exactly what I was looking for.
I just happen to have a set of Ti Intake valves that may work in these.
Now I wonder who has the experience so I could get a set of these heads ported and set up ? Hmmmm
