Ford Falcon Stalling Problems
Hi all. I bought a 1962 Ford Falcon about a year ago. A few weeks ago I noticed that the car seemed to be idling rough/low at stoplights. I had a shop adjust the carburetor, but this didn't seem to help much and I have found that the only way to get a good idle at stoplights is to have the choke half closed. Even with the choke half closed, the car idled low and stalled out last night. It started up just fine, but now everytime I'm at a red light I worry when it seems to be idling low. Any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like you have dirt in your carb. Needs cleaned and possibly rebuilt. That's a good place to start.

If you have to fatten it up with the choke to keep it running, it's either starving for fuel (as Rick suggests) or getting too much air via a vacuum leak. I'd check for both.
