532 inch combo for street? pump gas with 5200-5500 shift point.??? any suggestions?

Its been along time since Ive visited this web site. Im shocked at the hp and tq numbers you guys are getting on these big blocks.
I have a friend with a 63 1/2 ford thats 4000-4100 lbs with him the car. hes wanting to build a 532 pump gas motor thats road worthy, drive anywhere and still sound good . idle well and run like a raped ape. he is wanting something to shift 5000-5200 max. I suggested a 532 inch motor.
He has a jerico 4 speed and 9 inch rear with detroit locker 3.50 gears.

Check throughout the site. Some guys built an engine like you define, I believe with more displacement than you mentioned, that produced tremendous power at the engine speed you require.

I think Tore's 64 Galaxie has a 545 w/p51's .He said it dyno'd in the Mid 800hp range on pump gas. Badd ass heavy car for sure.

When you say "road worthy" do you mean with power brakes, no hood scoop, decent idle, fairly fuel efficient, really good part throttle torque off idle and everyday driver type vehicle ...? OR, something else altogether ...?

The engine in my street car is a 532ci big block. The combo uses D3 heads, Weiand tunnel ram, twin 4's, extractors,a street roller and 11:1 compression. The engine made 650hp/675 ft lb and runs on premium unleaded. No doubt the heads are holding the engine back, but it idles at 900-1000, drives anywhere and I can fill up at any servo. It sounds pretty nasty too!
