Was in the garage yesterday and had another 'brainfart'. Has anyone tried a Torker II manifold (which I have hanging on the wall) with a four hole spacer? I have a 8021 Weiand Stealth on my D0VE-C headed 11 to 1 466/C6, the heads have blended intake bowls and 2.25/1.72 valves, cam is a Crower 22207, .540/.541 lift 244/251 duration @ .050. Car is a 4200 lb Galaxie XL w/3.89 gears. I run a 1" 4 hole self made enhanced flow spacer with an 850 single pumper Holley. I also have a 2" 4 hole enhanced flow spacer. I was just wondering if either 4 hole spacer would make the Torker II more streetable? I shift at 6000 rpm in the 1/8th. The car is a street cruiser that sees about 4 or 5 trips to the strip a year. If so, should I gasket match the manifold? Thanks Smile

Terry,i'm not familiar w/Torquer2 but have heard they are a good manifold. Randy Malik would be the best guy to answer that ???

Rick, I was talking to 'Professor' Malik Sunday but didn't think about it till yesterday. He said that he thought an Air Gap intake would be better than my Stealth and thought my heads would be OK. We also talked about a custom grind cam. I told him I wanted to run it again in the spring to see how it ran with the 3.89s and since Randy S. set up my carb and distributor. AND since I have the spacer turned the right way Embarassed . Maybe he'll chime in before I have to pm him. I wanted to bring this question before the forum just in case anyone else has thought about this.
Thanks brother Smile

A "Torquer II" would definitely make more Wide Open Throttle horsepower however, I don't think it would work well in your situation of mostly street driving at part throttle a 4,000+ pound vehicle; especially with that big duration camshaft.

An iron production "Cobra Jet" manifold with a spacer would probably not be to bad with that combination if you keep the heat off it ... heavy though.

Thanks Randy, I'm still thinking about what we talked about Sunday. I have the Torker II and like I said, just had a 'brainfart' Smile

I've run the torker 2 on my 429 street car,ran low 12's 1/4, now I have it on my 545 running low10's 1/4. I need to run this because of hood clearence issues. I'm sure I could get more with a different intake but I've been very happy with this one.
