You may need to make the center hole bigger to fit over the crankshaft flange.

another question
[b]I also meant to ask if the transmission bellhousing from the 77 bronco would work on a 429 mustang.

No. The 77 Bronco was the last of the small Broncos, as far as I know the 302 was the biggest engine available.

Yes, that's why I said the largest engine in a 77 was a 302, because they never put 351M's or 400's in a 77

Let me clarify a bit
I have a 429 engine that came out of a 70 T-Bird in a 1971 Mach 1. It had a C9 automatic on it, but I wanted to change it out to a 4 speed toploader. I ran across a bellhousing that is supposed to fit the 429 that I have but the part number is D7TA7505AD. Someone told me it was a 77 bronco, but that might be wrong. I would appreciate any help. I could get. I have a 429 blockplate coming, but I need a clutch and a throwout bearing. also have the flywheel, the zbar and the clutch/brake combination pedal set. What i'm really concerned with is that bellhousing going to let me hook everything up to the engine.

That bellhousing is for a 351M/400. It will bolt up to your 429. If I recall right best to use a 390 flywheel, 11 inch clutch, and a 351M starter. Boss 429 will know exactly what you need.
