Looks like the home track.....
..... is really steppin up next year.
changed our outlaw deal to saturdays, and added some index classes, they have a 6.0 index that will work awesome for the sb car.
they also are starting a backhalf class, rules as follow.....
Ok sorry i have not replied. but i have been talking to TVRP and this is what we are looking at.
8 car field min.
$1000 win
$500 r/up
$250 semis
$100 qtrs
$100 entry fee
1. Open to backhalf only (firewall in stock location),"Smith race craft ok" no chassis cars
2. Any tire permitted
3. SBs must weigh a minimum of 2700lbs & BBs must weigh a minimum of 3100lbs
4. No more than 2 kits of nitrous permitted (add 100#s for 2nd kit)
5. Single carbs only
6. Single turbos, up to 88mm permitted at 3300lbs (no twins)
7. super chargers allowed max f2/roots 1071 3400
8. No lenco or bruno transmissions
9. wheelie bars ok
Class is run on a 5.00 index until final round. Final round is all out. Running under index during 1st/2nd round is permitted if on a bye run or competition redlights. .400 pro tree, random pairing (no qualifying), shakedown runs ok.
I need to add about 20 lbs, think the progressive is gonna go on the sb car and Ill get another set of wheelie bars to make up the weight diff lol.
2013 looks like a hell of a year at tvrp, cant wait.......

That is great. Out here there are no 1/4 mile tracks left in Southern California. Lucky for me I only live 90 miles south from the 1/4 mile track in Bakersfield.

Re: Looks like the home track.....
Sounds very similar to the old "King Of The Hill" back-half class that used to run around here years ago. It was a good format & ran for a number of years before they finally killed it off with too many rule changes & bitching/fighting over what exactly a "back half" car was. In the end the rules included not only the "stock firewall placement" statement, but also the cars had to have full stock rocker panels & full factory door jams, and the driver's shoulders could't be behind the B pilar/rear door jam. They were just trying to keep guys from putting a stock front clip on a full chassis car.
IIRC it started out where big-big tires were OK. Then later (before the end) the rules changed so a "W" was the biggest tire allowed.
