Do I do a vaccum pump
So my build has been and stock bottom end stock pistons, victor rpm intake, qft 950 cfm carb, headers, ported heads stock D3s, 125 shot of nitrous , dual electric cooling fans, mechanical water pump, and edelbrock preformer fuel pump, not sure on cam yet probably the edelbrock rpm cam or somthing a little bigger, C6 Trans, posi rear 3.73 gears, and this is a street strip build,,, will be at the track as much as I can on weekends, so as you can see I want to get Hp everywhere and anyway I can I have been trying to get upto the 450 range or better and I cant afford the heads I really want, so will the Vaccum Pump help and where does the pump get intalled on a 460 engine I'm quessing a mechanical vaccum pump with a pulley is that right I have been researching but the info I am reading not helping much.......

At the HP level you're shooting for, a vacuum pump is wasted money. There are lots of other places where that money would get bigger gains.

engine
The only thing in your your build that looks out of place is the Victor intake. A performer or performer RPM/Airgap may work better in your case. With the stock dish pistons and D3 heads it will right around 8-1 so hopefully that cam will work with that comp ratio.
Is it the one that is similar to a ford racing A443 ?

As this vehcile is going to be used on the street (and it being a mild build) I think you would be much better off with a smaller carb and with vacuum secondaries.
Check out the QFT HR780-VS. That is what I run and it is very impressive. The 950 is too big for "street use" and probably too bif for "strip" use based on your engine build.
