Re: Spark plugs for a460 heads
what ignition system? What compression? What type of fuel.
Ideally, the widest gap you can without having spark blow out.
That said, with 18-1 compression, MSD 7al-3 and propower coil, anything larger .026 and I have a hard time keeping em sparking.

Hmmmnnn,,,,with 18:1 compression you don't need a spark plug. They're a diesel

Luckly the cam is so long in duration, cranking compression is pitiful, and without at least 20 degrees advance, it wont even start.
Locked out at 32 on alcohol, or 34 on gas, it does it just fine.
If I ever do over, lots of things will be differnt.

Comp., 14:1, ignition is a crane hi6, msd distributor, i guess 114 octane. And would this hi6 be ok to just start the engine up and seat the rings?
Thanks
