Baller 466" build.

Been gathering parts for a couple months now for this deal, I'll try and put a dollar amount on stuff as damn near every part has been a trade, or two, or three lol.

I had a cast 4.5 crank I aquired in another trade, no real money in it, I swapped it to a buddy who gave me in return the following:
I new set of Speed Pro 2443's....030 over, one new set of Eagle H beams w the std bolts, a complete set of ARP head bolts w washers, a stock oil pan, an ext balance crank... .010/ .010, with new rod and main bearings, harmonic balancer-stock, waterpump-stock, flexplate-stock, a large box of misc bolts including a Ford Racing one piece fuel pump eccentric......... complete Holley 850 dp, 1" phenolic spacer.....this stuff was give to him......so free

I'm getting a stock set of valve covers, timing cover, hatchet weight, from another buddy here local.....free

The same buddy I'm gonna go through a C6 for him.......in exchange I got a set of ported Dove-c heads w stainless 2.19/1.76 valves, studes and guideplates, has roller springs and molly retainers I wont use. Actual dollar amount invested 300.00

I traded an expansion tank I made, I had approx 15.00 bucks of material in, I made a trip south to sell some Nos parts to a guy so I had the guy wanting the tank meet me at the same place, swapped a nice 8012 Stealth intake for the tank.

I bought a carb and intake off of a local swap shop deal on the radio here, paid 130 for a carb 'll use on something else and the sbc intake was a freebie.....traded the parts manager here it for a reman duraspark in return......free

Swapped a bunch of CO2 bottles and regs and a t stop solenoid for a nice FT cam, lifters, springs, retainers and locks. The CO2 stuff was a sponsorship deal from a long time ago, Im out some lettering I had done..by another buddy who did it for free.........so no real money...other than the 75.00 I gave as boot for the cam stuff.

swapped a sbf stud girdle and posilocks I had a 100 dollar value on for a FRP billet chain set already double pinned, a bronze thrust plate and a hardned oilpump shaft. so 100 bucks

set of 15 Harland Sharp rockers, swapping a set of HS sbf rockers, 150.00 value
found 1 more rocker, price yet to be determined....

I have a damaged Kasse oilpump that was give to me, I need to buy a melling pump to rob the gears out of......to be updated

I traded a set of pushrods for my old set of Trick Flow 3/8 pushrods I gave away in a previous trade.........so free

MSD 6 AL and Blaster coil..........set of 3.5" Magnaflow race mufflers...........given to me by a friend whom I'm doing some chassis work, which I was gonna do free anyway.......so "free" again.

I have a pickup tube kit for the oilpan I had lying around from where I have no idea...........free

make it an even 100 bucks for shipping cost etc....so 740 bucks total so far...........


Think thats about it. I need:
oil filter
rings
gasket set
mech fuel pump
cap and rotor
rebuild kit for carb

I'll buy that stuff new (mybe not the fp if i can find one)

may be a pump gas deal, if i do I will have a buddy machine the domes.....again for free lol. May do E85 if I do I'll barter for a carb or something............may be a few months before I get started on this but when I do, I'll be sure and do a burnout....................

plans are for my wifes 64 swb truck, c6, good rearend stuff, just something to beat around town in....... i miss not having a street ride of sorts. It will be a long term project but the engine build will start after I get the 81 back together. Hell if I hurt DD it may go in the Grande' ........

bump for a good deal

add a torker II intake, a 8082 dominator, and a set of scj alum valve covers, added cost...... about 300 bucks.
