Looks nice and neat! Any mods to the shock towers or/and removal of the steering box and it's attachments? What transmission? Any mods to the frame or related components?

At first there was no mods to the towers but after fighting the plugs for way to long I notched the towers out. Now the header bolts are still PITA. Front end is completely stock with sway bar gone and the original round crossmember that was under the engine is gone. Powerglide transmission and easy to get to the bellhousing bolts.Future plans are to loose the toers all together and update the front end to a 87-93 setup. I also don't have the front bars in mine from the cage - forward...So that will come with the new front end and hopefully a lot of weight.......struts,rack and pinion, light brakes(front and back),spindles...etc.LivermoreDave wrote:Looks nice and neat! Yes sir...power brakes was one of the first things I got rid of. I do need to get better brakes and a lightweight master cylinder.cool40 wrote:mine had power brakes before i got the tall valve covers.. a bbf is a big PIA in these cars.

You guys do know that Kugel Components makes a remote brake booster, and a under the dash booster so you can keep the power brakes.

It is a 1 wire deal from summit or jegs. It has the stock mounts without the bracket that attaches to the water pump...one bolt in the head and the other in the block beside the timing cover.mikey hefner wrote:What type of alternator set up are you using if you don't mind ne asking??

They are tubular automotive and I got the mounts with the headers. They are pretty easy to put in. The only thing I don't like is how far forward the engine sits. Makes it tight between the engine and radiator.
