Alternator set up for 514 cid
Hi guys, I'm new to the site and I am hoping someone can help me out...I have an 87 Mustang drag car with a Ford Racing 514 cid with a motor plate. I am looking for a complete alternator set up for it. I'm sick of taking the generator and battery charger to the track and charging the batteries after every pass. I have searched on line and can't seem to find anything. Please help!! Thanks for any info!!

Depending on what balancer you have, March makes some nice single groove pullies, then I'd get a small racing alternator and a mount the alternator to the motor plate and use some small heim joints to make an adjuster.

what dfree said. Pretty much a custom deal at this point. No bolt on parts for a motorplate. Set it where you want it, get the spacing right and put belt on it.
