Well, I am sure he doesn't realize that by taking his frustrations out on a U.S. Postal mail box could land him in prison, (not just a fine or the county jail), as it is a FEDERAL offense.

Misdemeanor destruction of property to the mailbox. Federal offense messing with the mail inside.


Mom and father-in-law are both post masters. Grandpa is a carrier. I've had to hear the what if stuff my whole life and have served on a jury in a trial for this.

not so much about the mailbox, other than it was in the wrong place at the wrong time lol.

I have done this to two lawnmowers, 3 cordless drills, a creeper, one air ratchet....... other items im sure.

He was probably laughing & giggling till he realized he now had to go spend some time digging a new hole to reinstall his mail box.

Thats funny. He may be on a "work release" program.LOL
