Pro Stock Trans gear ratio / Rear Gear

Hey,

Anyone know the gear ratio of a Pro Stock Transmission? I guess there is variables but is there a common gear ratio?

I know my question depends on a lot of different things, chassis and engine needs but just kind of trying to get an idea of what they use..

Well, for a 500 inch Pro Stocker (NHRA), first gear is usually in the neighborhood of 2.75:1. An Mountain Motor Pro Stocker (IHRA) is closer to 2.40:1. The gear splits from that point depend on the track conditions. The NHRA car will run a 33.5/17-16 tire, while the IHRA car will run a 34.5/17-16.
