AOD Swap

Any reasonably price AOD swap kits avalaible to mate on to an FE?

What about reasonable priced complete kits?

Been thinking about putting one in my 66 Merc behind my new 428 along with some 3.91's.

I know the adapters I've seen are around 800 bucks. A buddy of mine found a used gear vendors unit for around 500 bucks. It was made for a c-6. A gear vendors unit might be another option. I had an aod in my 68 with a 302 in front of it and I loved it. Excellent cruising on the interstate.

TV or electronic AOD?

I thought I saw Jay @ Broader had a adapter in the $350 range, that mounted an AOD to a cruisomatic bellhousing. Need to mill off AOD bell. Check his page.

A good way to find a gear venders unit is to look at old motorhomes. A friend picked one up for practically nothing, took the GV unit off, installed a new tailhousing/driveshaft and sold it for what he paid for it.

If you see any let me know, I never seem to find them cheap.
