The camera angle does make the 'stang look a little like a Matador. Suspect

Thanks! Now I just need someone to make me a ridiculous trade in 460 parts for my FE stuff. Wink

Imagine how excited I'd be to have gimongahuge motor like a 466! Hard for me to imagine. Laughing

Ohhhh, I have a complete 0.025" over 428 I'm stuffing back into my Cougar. It has ported Edelbrock heads, Harland sharp rocker with Dove end stands, ported Blue Thunder intake, Holley 850 with Proform main body, factory CJ rods with ARP bolts, and a factory 428 crank. The block has the "C" on it and the heavier main webbing. It is half filled with Hard blok. It has 10.5:1 JE pistons. The cam is a Bullet solid flat tappet with 250/258 degrees @0.050, 108 LSA. Crower Coolface lifters with the EDM hole. Headers are 2" Crites, Jet Hot 2000 coated, 1967-1970 Mustang/Cougar Milodon pan etc. etc. Motor has about 3000 miles on it. Heads have about 5000 miles. I'm guessing 550-560 hp at around 6500-6600 rpm. I did a leakdown before I took the top end off and it was all less than 3%.

I have two unported Holley Street Dominator intake manifolds. One was polished a long time ago.

I have two 391 cranks. One is unmodified. The other has had the snout turned down and the butt machined. It has two keyways cut into the snout. I think it is 0.010/0.010". I don't know how much the unmodified one has been cut.

I have a Broader Performance FE C6, 700 hp version, with full manual valve body and deep aluminum trans pan. The trans has less than 1000 miles on it. I have 3 FE torque converters. TCI 11" 2600 stall with anti ballooning plate. TCI 10" 3600 stall. 10" converter of unknown manufacture. It stalled at around 3900 rpm behind my 428 which is more than I want.

I have a used FE solid flat tappet cam and matching numbered lifters. Compcams custom grind with 270/276 degrees @ 0.020", 240/246 @ 0.050", 108 LSA, .598/.608" gross lift. It has Crower Cool Face lifters, too. The 428 made 517 hp on the dyno with this cam. I think it was making about 530 hp after I tightened up the valve lash and put the Proform main body on.

Used Crane pushrods, odds and ends and such.

Oh yeah, I have a set of Program billet cross bolt caps I was thinking of putting on my 428 during it's next rebuild.

That's all I can think of at the moment. No 427 blocks or Tunnelport heads. LOL!

Sorry for the thread hijack. I didn't think about the fact that I was posting stuff I have in someone else's for sale thread. It just occurred to me that it was a bit rude. Sorry again. Embarassed

SOLD SOLD SOLD Still Have The A Block For Sale - $1500 Empty A Block

Post  Rvesterby August 18th 2009, 8:31 pm

The A block is a 385 series aftermarket Ford engine block 429/460 type

You might have better luck selling your FE on the FE Forumn

Although posting it here is not a sin
