I have a new project going on
In the process of doing a '32 Ford coupe. I cannot place a mere sbc in it so like any addict I started plans for a 466ci scj headed, tunnel rammed, old school appearing build. This soon morphed into a 466ci scj with a non-chromed 671 huffer on it.... more for looks than power. I intend on driving this thing alot and wasn't after more than maybe 500hp. Wanting a forged crank (I sleep better at night) I had to do a stroker as I was unable to find a forged stock stroke crank. So now its a scj headed 523ci at 10:1 with a little 671 on it 10%od for a couple of psi only. 2500 stall and a manual vb C6. 3.70's in the 9". Plan on making it look all nostalgic. Hot rod black body, no fenders or hood, minimal chrome, bomber seats, "A/A" on the quarter panels, gasser type wheels. Radials for street and Cokers for the hot rod meets at the strip for fun. This isn't meant to be a maximum effort, set your hair on fire ride. I realize a stroker should have a minimal of an 871 on it... Nostalgia looks, attitude is all I am going for... but I figure given the weight and a modest amount of big block Ford grunt it should scoot fairly well.
And be a lot of fun driving to work at the air force base and to local cruise ins and car shows. Going to tell everyone local who asks its a 429.

Thats going to be a fun ride! I've always wanted something like that. Especially with a BBF in it!

VERY nice. The "plan" sounds real good. I've always wondered how much better my Mod-A Delivery would run with a BBF instead of the 351C............
