How Much E.T. Is a Trans. Brake Worth?

I have never used a trans brake and was wandering if i should consider one ...

If it helps the 60' time it helps et most of the time I want a trans brake to but dont want to spend the money on one right now for this old c6 i have if it dont hold up to the 552 it will get a pg with a brake in it plus not sure if my converter will work with this engine.

I've race for years foot breaking it.... and I'll stack my reaction time up against any button.

I'm runnin a 545 , c6, 411, stock front end , caltrac rear heavy Torino,, drag only...tranny is fresh with reverse vb,, 28/10.5 slicks also..Just wandering abot the transbrake.....

my car always ran the same with or without the tb. the tb will sure upset the car more,IMO.

That's interesting. Why do so many guys run em if there is no advantage.?

Yep, it's all about the money.....delay box mfrs. , etc. do write checks to NHRA etc.

Relative to the delay box thing...they do make drivers more equal but, the guys that win the most with a box will win the most w/o the box.

So,, do you guys think they are worth the money? The cars sure seem to leave harder with them.

i did'nt say anybody sucked jackass. i sure treed your ass the first time i EVER ran on a pro tree. i could realy give you a lesson on a bracket tree. with no tb or box!

my worst light of the weekend was against ol Lee on the pass that mattered, seems the prior time we paired up someone left a tad early???????

yep,cuz someones junk ass glide was a qt low of fluid and the brake did'nt work. i dont care much for bracket racing but i can keep up with most in any class.

junk ass glide has a dipstick for a reason........

i realy think it had more to do with the long burnout i never do that unless the line lock wont hold.

sorry to get off the topic i'm sure some love them and have picked up et with them.if you plan to bracket race and would like to use a tb then get one now and learn to use it.you may or may not see any et.

A lot has to do,with your suspension too, some types like to be hit hard and others don't
