Well my piston finally showed up and i was going mock the engine to check deck height.Went take the rod bolt loose and man them baby is tight and they are right out the plastic from Scat.So i decided to call and get me a rod vise so i would not messup new rods .Are the rod bolts 7/16 or 14 mm 12 points?

you know them "baby is tight"-- then ask are the 7/16 or 14mm(9/16).
That makes me ask- what did you try to loosen the bolts with? vise grips!

question still stands . how did you know how tight the bolts are and not know the sizebigjohn2007 wrote:I used a 7/16 12 point but guy at summit said there 14mm.I like to ask someone who knows but i get a smart ass.Was trying get me a socket for a 1/2 drive.
got the answer its in your post , you used a 7/16. then still asked what size
btw 7/16 is 7/16 in 1/4 drive or 1/2 drive plus end wrench

Re: ARP 2000 rod bolts
Correction he sent me a 11mm 12 point and it works like a champ.Cause summit did not have 7/16 in stock. So overall i've learn that a 7/16 12p and 11mm 12p will work and DanH is a sob.

Mine was tight as all get out when I put my pistons on I used a 7/16 1/2'' drive on the impac wrench to loosen mine to keep from skinning them up.You can get 2 peaces of wood and sandwich the rod between them in a vise and loosen them without hurting them to alot cheaper than the piston vise
