What kind of TV do you have and what kind of video output on the computer? IF it is a new tv there should be a computer input (either 9 pin d-connector or the digital equivalent). I tried the RGB cable like you have posted and I could never get it to work with computer.

I guess I should have added a bit of info. Its a Dish Netowrk tv that I traded some work for. The computer has a VGA output. Now that I have looked more it looks like I need a converter thingy, or I could just buy a video card. But I am limited with video cards cause all I have are plain ol PCI slots. Something with S-video or component out would work I bet.

S-video, component, and composite.
Looks like buying a PCI card with the output I need would be the cheaper route.

Well here is the deal. The computer just has the on bored video right now. The tv has all this stuff on the back. http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Dishnetwork/TV/HD34-Back-Panel.jpg
From doing some reading up, the adapter I showed won't work. Correct me if I am wrong, but computer video out is in the form of RGB colorspace so I would need a card that would put out YPbPr or get a converter thingy that seem to run about $60 or so.
So I am looking at buying this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130188 and then a S-video cable. http://www.svideo.com/4pinsvideo12.html

With that video card you should be able to use the DVI output and go into the tv's DVI input. This would take a standard digital monitor cable which you might already have.
It will also be a digital signal vs an analog signal like the S video. I built my last computer using EVGA components and they have an excellent website/forum for technical help. You might want to try and post over there before you buy just to confirm everything but it looks like it should work to me.

x2 on the DVI if you can use it - Digital! That or the component.
Don't even bother with composite or S-Video - they're the worst picture quality, and low resolution.
I use a DVI to HDMI cable between my laptop and my 46" Samsung - makes Flight Simulator X look awesome

Just one other note. DVI and HDMI are the same format so there is not compatibility issues when using the two together.
