Gurus....How much for a well built Glide
So I'm in the market for a glide. Decided on one instead of a 400. I've contacted ATI and Proformance and have some prices. What is a realistic price for a piece that will handle 1800+? Trans and Bell

You are just right up the road from a great builder, one of the best there is IMHO.......Handy when it's time for a freshen up. Trans and Converters. You won't find any better customer service.
Call Greg at FTI:

Thx David. I've heard of them but in all honesty, didn't know much about them. They're only about an hour from me to boot. I'll give them a buzz

I'll have to agree with FTI. When I was at the Million last year, I wasn't sure if I was happy with my converter. I went and talked to Greg. He said that he had the perfect converter for my combination. He asked if I wanted to try it out. I said sure. He said, "hold on a few minutes, I just installed it in my car. I'll pull it out and let you try it". WHAT??? Turns out that it was a good fit. I ran it for 3 days and he said, "I'll call you next week to get the payment information". I can't think of a better way to win over a customer.
As far as cost on a glide, it will depend on the internals more than anything else. You won't find many that aren't built in aftermarket cases anymore. You can spend in excess of $5k if you build it with all the good stuff. You can get a really good one for under $2k.
You'll be happy you went with a glide.

$3k to $5k for the trans and another $1k to $1.5k for a killer converter
