I apologize in advance if this has been covered. Which one would be better for a 604CID build? The IDT look like damn nice blocks. Is there an advantage in running those over the A460?

IDT Premier blocks will handle a 4.700 bore other than that both good blocks. Cool

In my opinion the IDT is a better block however, it requires quite a bit more prep work.
How good is good enough - is totally up to you.

Randy, could/would you expand a bit on any additional work required on the ELIMINATOR blocks, as opposed to the A-460?

Let's start with ANY machined surface on an IDT block where you won't cut your hand on the edges to clearancing the bottom of the bores and the distributor area to the necessary attention to the oiling system.

Just the de-burring takes one helluva lot more time than with an A460 if you do it all.
Of course, if your time is worth almost nothing then it is almost nothing to do it.
