Trying something new tomorrow
Some of you know we do some farming. We have quite a bit of farm land that has been in the family thru generations. There are a couple of rent house's that are no longer used.We are going to destroy them because if they set empty they will only draw meth heads as they are pretty remote. We were looking at them for the fire department to burn for training. One of the house's has a GIANT honey bee hive in the back wall.We are going to try and capture it.Can you say Hey Bubba watch this! Never fooled with bees before. No kidding watched you tube video's. There will be no photographic evidence of this event.
I like honey and it is running out of the entire back wall. Wish me luck or come help if you like. I picked up some apple pie to soak my wounds in and there is plenty to go around.
Bet y'all thought I was gonna do somthing stupid didn't you!

When I was a kid, we bought a old house that was way back in the holler. It was full of Honey/Bees. I remember doing like Red said.We used sulfur bombs to kill the bees. Then took the wood slatts off the side of the house and got honey comb by the wash tubs full. We later moved in the ole house and I remember smelling that nasty sulfur till I grew up and moved out. Honey didn't smell like it though.

I ain't no expert on the matter, but I've done this a couple of times with my uncle. We used pine needles as a source of smoke. They seem to let off a good bit. We'd get a good smoke goin and put some pine needles in an old coffee can. They'll think there's a fire and cover the uncapped honey, which makes your chances of getting stung lower. Usually the queen is a little bigger with a blueish-green spot on her back. Don't screw with her, the others will stay with her. Slowly cut the honeycomb and ease off. Ain't nothin better than fresh honey on a cathead.
