Sorry for the late response but it was a busy day.The bee thing went better than expected. We smoked um up good with pine needles and oak leaf's.Used something called bee calm sugar water and lemon extract.I had a friend and my trusty brothe inlaw helping.Taped up good and had a mask we each got stung a few times but no big deal. The goal was to catch and move the bee's not to kill them.
We pulled the side boards off the house and the went nut's.We kept the smoke going and gave them time to calm.We moved a little over six pounds of bee's to a hive where I live.We removed approx 5 gallons of honey and comb.It was hugeI didn't get any photos because it really was a sticky mess. I was suprised how calm the bee's were.It was hotand I worked the last hour with noting but a base ball cap on.
It went so well we took the 64 1/2 to local bracket race went to the fourth round and was runner up due to the dreaded red eye.

Prolly red lit because you were distracted by the swelling?

My buddy Jonathon was driving. The red light was because he would not stop playing with the box.I told him a .011 light was good enough.
I checked on the bee's last night. We lost some prob. due to the heat but seem to be fine over all.
